Adoption Guidelines
You are interested to adopt a Thoroughbred, please call and visit us to meet our horses.

A potential adopter, with no history of animal abuse or negligence, must be at least 21 years of age and live in an area close (4 hours’ drive) to Alemar Farm, West Virginia. The future horse adopter is required to schedule a visit at Alemar Farm and meet our chairperson/or Program Director, to fill out an Adoption Application provided during the visit. That application must be approved by Race 2 Roam, agreed, signed and paid in full, before any horse will be adopted. After you decide to adopt a Race 2 Roam horse, you may not breed, sell, give away, the adopted horse. If you are no longer able to keep your R2R horse for any reason and must return the horse to R2R at Alemar Farm, you must present to our organization his current vaccination report. (Adoption fees are not refundable).
